Dear Kris,                        November 2, 2015

What a whirlwind of a year it has been!  It seems like yesterday we were walking along the beach talking about my goals.  You asked me when I want to go for Red Jacket and I told you “next October”.  You yourself were going through the promotion experience that month with your sights set on Senior Executive Vice President Sales Leader (I think I got that right?).  Anyway, you made it and now I too have made it to my next goal of Senior Executive Sales Leader.  The coveted Red Jacket!!

I want to tell you a little bit about my journey.  This journey has been filled with both a mixture of joy and frustration. Honestly, last March, I wasn’t sure if I could hold on.  My road seemed almost impassable.  However, you told me to step back and concentrate on my personal business. Get that strong, and the rest will fall into place.  Well, I did get that stronger.  I worked throughout the spring getting my summer calendar just where I needed it to be.  I pushed myself a little out of my comfort zone and started focusing on the goal in sight.

One thing that I did was to change my focus.  I have been sharing these products for so long, I feel so passionate about them, and I know I don’t need to concentrate on my sales as much because the sales will come.  I need to concentrate on my team and adding to my growing team.  In order to make this work, I knew I needed to step up my game.  I needed to STOP telling myself that recruiting was my weakness, and start learning how to be the best recruiter I can be.  Mid July, I started listening to more trainings about team development.  I started listening to webinars on the way to my parties.  I started listening and learning about how I could change that voice in my head about my weakness, and turn it into my strength.

By the time Conference rolled around, I was so pumped for the kick in the butt that conference always gives me.  I was ready to tackle the world!  I spent August reaching out to past customers from 4+ years back.  I increased my level of customer care calls.  I mapped out my goal, and took the necessary steps to get there.

Back in June, I sent a newsletter to my entire team letting them know what my goal was for our team and asked them to be prepared to jump in with both feel October 1st.  The newsletter paid off.  Not only did they jump on board, but I completed my goal of engaging 75 people to help promote myself and our team with 3 days to spare!  3 days.  I actually got to enjoy Halloween when I was a little afraid my kids would have to be on their own!  What a feeling it is to know my team stands behind me like that!

Now, I am onto my next goal.  The Red Jacket for me symbolizes a new chapter and the count down to the end of another.  My new goal is to close the doors to my preschool 2 years from now.  This goal is HUGE, but I know I can achieve anything I set my heart and mind to do.

I want to thank you for your support and for believing in me, even when I didn’t quite believe in myself.

You are my friend, and I love you for all that you do for me, and the person you are.

Sincerely;  Sarah Stanko   Senior Executive Sales Leader
